  • Good evening everybody I have just managed to catch up. I hope you have all had a good day.
I have spent the evening attempting to dig the car out so now I am very tired. No shopping for me today.
Logie I hope you and your family are ok.
Mortgage debt 45,000. Thank you all for your help so far in helping me save to buy the house. I could not have done this without all your help.

Ooh, i grew up in Wigan and mum and dad still live there. Whereabouts are you? I dont want a fridge though ;):rotfl:

I'm in Hindley, I'm from Bolton originally and OH is from Shevington.

If I don't get any takers on the free fridge/freezer I'm sure it will only last on the drive for about 10 minutes!!

Pmsl, I didn't even read half of what they said :rotfl: I take it I really upset them my 'Make like a tree' comment hours a go. T'was only a joke, I couldn't resist.

Oh well onwards and upwards and ironing to do before bed, so off soon.

Think I might gently suggest he digs his golf clubs out when the weather gets better. I can cope with that:rotfl:

lots of shops have a ring the bell system to get in mostly posh shops but a few i have been in that are normal have bells to ring to enter , and sighns on the door -- not being nasty/picky/ anything just giving the other side;):o:A

I understand what you mean. I've been in a few jewellers that have the bell system, made me feel very posh :)

Thank you for your reply :)

Part of me wishes I could go back to the way I was before but this area is going really down hill and several other shops have had to start installing buzzers on their doors too. :( I had to do something as I suffer with anxiety, panic attacks and depression so this was the only way I could come back to work.

Our business has actually improved since doing this (not sure if it is that the customers feel safer or that it has increased their sympathy and rapport with me). Also the nature of our business is not for under 18's and so this has aided with keeping unwanted teenagers away.

I've removed the bottom sign from the door as I think that you are right and probably 'overloads' with information so some people may not bother to read any of it.

To be honest, I think I just get a bit  sometimes, but it wears off after a while :D

If the bell system is working for you in general and makes you feel safe, then that can only be a good thing.

I do think that clearing the door a bit may help. One clear sign should be what's needed to stop people walking away :)

Glad to hear they were caught, so sad to see areas declining and these people thinking it is ok to steal.

Let us know how it goes with the shop :)
