    Just for the newer members........

Just to remember if you have stuff you buy as part of your APG eg batter mix, noodles etc and don't particularly want or need it, have a think about donating to your local food bank.:)

I delivered a food parcel today and can't explain how much it was needed....:o

For the North East coven I have a local contact but just google for your area - they are everywhere....thankfully:)

  • Popped into a WHS earlier. Didnt have a lot of time but did go have a little play with the kobo arc. Not bad at all. The display is amazing and is bright and sharp from some right oblique angles. More research required but it's definatley a contender having had a little play with it.

Price stacks up with too. £189 but for that you also get a free £20 giftcard so really its £169 which for a 32gb machine is not bad.

Unlike most tablets it has a wide bezel which isnt to everyones liking, but on the flip side it comes top in all the tablet drop tests suggesting the bezel protects the screen quite a lot. Important for a clumsy !!!!!! like me and also of course if its just gonna get tossed in the glovebox then some protection is no bad thing.

Isn't WHSmith a bit of an odd shop at the moment. It's neither one thing or the other. I think it's sort of losing its niche. I deliberately didn't buy gift vouchers to give as presents this year as I have done in the past:o
