I know how annoying these can be. DSes school sends them out if they fall below 95%:eek: we got one jut before the Xmas break, DSes attendance was 95% and that they would be keeping an eye on it.
Like you I think it should be for unauthorised absences, there are plenty of boys in DSes school who's parents don't care if they go to school or not, a boy in his class misses a day each week for no other reason than his mum sleeps in :eek: she lives 5 mins from the school if it was me I'd be sending him anyway

lastly, I popped into sainsbobs. They didn't have any thing left of the sale apart from crimbo paper and tags. I got some young's scampi 220g reduced from £5 to £1.25, they are so not worth £5! there's hardly anything in the bag!
