Evening guys, busy catching up but thought I'd better post before the site goes down for maintenance
I for my EA appointment this morning and it went well. Lady I saw was very sympathetic about my arthritis and other health problems plus she had lost her husband 6 years ago to a brain tumour so she appreciated how I felt. We talked about my health, and she said that she would call me back for appointment in 3 months to talk and plan what to put on my medical forms I would be receiving shortly after that. When I asked her about my ESA being stopped since July to be replaced by Bereavement Benefit, she said that I in fact did not need to attend any further interviews as all I as doing it for was NI credits, and I'd confirmed that I had enough contributions for my pension already. So she advised me to ring and close my ESA claim when I was ready
I then struggled across the town centre to pick up my Bon Marche order and then back to car, and home, with my knee giving on me painfully again, but at least I had my folding walking stick with meGot home, and got my things ready for travelling back to Portsmouth, and waiting for a delivery which came at 11.30am so, after calling to get car washed and fill up with petrol, I was on the road at noon, and got down here at 3.30pm. Roads were good and no traffic problems.
Temperature overnight had been -6 and stayed -6/-5 all morning, though it did reach +1 at one point on the way down. Slight wet snow/sleet here this evening but heavy snow is expected tomorrow morning. We are getting a taxi to the station to get the train to London just after 9am so hope to be in London before the worst arrives .......... fingers crossed. Are we mad going to London for the weekend with the weather that is forecast? We've paid for the hotel rooms and train tickets so we are going no matter what
Hope everyone is well and staying safe and warm, back to catching up again nowMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

I was in Tesco earlier and asked the butcher how sales were going. "Slowly" he said, "it's like flogging a dead horse."0

I agree you are not driving down so not much chance of an accident whatever the weather.
Enjoy it whatever you get out of it is better than not going and losing the money.
