Savvybuyer wrote: »Oh, David. - I haven't forgotten, but the lowest priced (non-SP equiv.) bin bags I could find were some Smartt ones at M - 20 for £2 (10p/bag) but non-comp to Sada's. The A 30 tie handle refuse sacks are £3 (which is way over the £1 you gave last time) - but the 'cheapest' are 50 pack ones but cost nearly £4.50 (hardly saving money!).
Or do you mean the drawstring ones that you fit into your bin? Some of the "big" - 50 litre - ones were on multibuy in M recently - packs of 10 that don't compare on the APG from A's packs of 15 - worked out at about £1 for 10, which was cheaper than the price, pro rata, on the Sada 15 pack (last time I looked they were about £2.18 in A for their 15 pack, but M's 10pack x 2 at 2 for £2 got 5 extra bags for less than A's price on its 15). I haven't checked the obvious - on T, S etc. on MSM - and I'll look on Wednes. to see if M have any offers on. I'm doubting it as I think their bags offer may have ended the week before last.
Now 2nd update on bin bags it felt like it was about to rip as I took it out to be fair it didnt but I had to tease it out rather than just pull it out.
So its a no go for that one.
No drawstring ones these where about 20 per roll in asda for £1 reduced of course just went under the stairs to find out exactly which ones and none left .
So will have to have a mooch round asda and see if I can spot them hopefully they where not getting rid of old stock or something like thatWhen The Fun Stops Stop0 -

Not the only one if so. It's just some of those multibuys again. Not to worry - we'll all be back here in the morning (some of us - e.g. me - if we ever get to bed!!!).

sounds like you have green fingers
my Dad grew up on a farm and he always grew his own veg. I'm still learning
I don't grow anything in the winter, but during the spring/summer I grow potatoes, spinach, lettuce, tomatoes, runner beans, french beans, strawberries, broad beans and sweetcorn. I should have planted the broad beans in october to prevent black fly, but I forgot!
keeps me sane and saves a fortune!
As for your beans, plant them as usual and when the black fly turn up ( and they will! pretty much overnight) keep an eye on them and wait until they all move to the top growing tip of the plant and cut that part off and dispose of it.......my favourite place is my chiminea, or any other fire:D spray the rest if the plant with a bug spray and your beans should be absolutely fine. The black fly don't turn up until the beans are growing and if you dispose of them quickly they won't harm your crop:)
Happy birthday cjj....hope you had a great day x0 -
Savvy if there is one person on here who I would put money on not to forget something its you :T.

Thanks. Reply to this - if I decide, in the event, to give one - will come later tomorrow after I've properly read what you've said. See you soon.0 -
It seems these glitchy multibuy days are short lived but randomly regular:)
Think we all need to be really vigilant with wombles and particularly if MSM looks like its being updated ie huge reduction in multi buys on offer, then we need to go go go:)To do is to be. Rousseau
To be is to do. Sartre
Do be do be do. Sinatra0
