Just to say why I posted this and for anyone else to avoid a problem:
I entered santanderbillpayment.co.uk/hmrc and my browser normally accepts that. In this case you need to enter www.santanderbillpayment.co.uk/hmrc in full with the www. Without the www at the beginning you get an invalid certificate message, although you are put through to the correct HMRC website if you continue. Try it. Then use the full address to be sure.0
