My Fielding and Nicholson Review

My hubby got his wedding suit after he got a new work suit at Fielding & Nicholson... He wrote the below for another site, but I thought I'd post it here as the company he used run other deals on sites like Groupon so you could pick up a suit rather than hiring one and keep it forever!

For the first time, I found myself in need of a tailored suit. Having purchased many suits from department stores, I decided it was time to indulge in a high quality tailor-made suit. I approached Fielding and Nicholson, after my friend recommended them to me. I found Ian particularly helpful throughout the suit making process and would certainly recommend him to anyone in need of advice.

Fielding and Nicholson can come to you or you can go to them. So, no matter how busy you may be, they work with you to suit your availability, wherever you are based. I found this particularly useful as I’m often tied to my desk at work in London and it’s very difficult for me to get away during working hours.

Another service offered by them, which I thought was truly unique, is the wardrobe analysis service. I had my analysis on my first meeting with Ian, which allowed me to discuss my favourite colours, materials, hobbies and fashion preferences. This meant I could discuss exactly what I wanted to gain from buying a new suit.

After only a mere five week wait, my suit was ready, which pleasantly surprised me as I was expecting at least a 6 to 8 week wait. Ian advised that my suit could take up to 8 weeks, so when it was ready 3 weeks earlier I was thrilled and couldn’t wait to try it on!

I was amazed just how well it fitted. For me ill-fitting sleeves are a frequent problem with shop bought suits and so it was a relief to not have to worry. The fit was spot on and having now worn the suit on a number of occasions, I can honestly say that it wears well and still looks brand new months later.

Another great factor regarding my suit is that it came with a five year guarantee, so if I required assistance, be it new buttons or tailoring, I could rely on Fielding and Nicholson to do so, free of charge. My friend lost a significant amount of weight and was able to have his suit adjusted to suit his new figure, completely free of charge as it fell within the five year guarantee period.

I thought this was an amazing service when my friend told me which is another reason I went for it as I am in the middle of losing weight too.

I am so pleased that I contacted Fielding and Nicholson as they have been so attentive and helpful. I didn’t have to chase them up to find out more details about the progress of my suit either, as they kept in contact with a regular progress report.

All in all, I would certainly advise those of you in need of a tailored suit to approach them as they know all there is to know about bespoke suits and they deliver a Savile Row finish and service at a great price.
