I took a loan with Citi in November 2007. After a year I had some problems paying but kept in touch throughout. In November 2009 I received a letter stating it had been sold onto Capquest (balance 7082). However I have now checked my bank statements and on two occasions when I thought I was talking to Citi the statement shows Capquest (Jan and March 09). Is that legal ? In total I have now paid back over £7400 between the two, the original amount being circa 12K. What would be a reasonable !!!!!! figure to offer Capquest at this moment in time please ?
I am also not receiving annual statements, I thought that was illegal as well. Is there anyway to get the debt cancelled due to their non confomrity ?
