My son has a DS Lite Console that will will not switch on. I have bought and inserted a new battery and charged it but the problem still remains. Sometimes the green 'on' light shows for a second but then it just goes dead again. Any ideas on what I can try next or where is the best place to send it for repair? Many thanks

It could be one of the fuses. The DS/DS Lite has 2 fuses labelled F1 and F2. A quick Googling offers the image below which shows the location of the fuses. The large metal piece in the centre is the cartridge slot with the power connector just on the right at the top.0

Nintendo themselves offer repairs -

There are numerous other places online that offer repairs such as consoledoctor.

New DS Lites are £90 on Amazon so weigh that up against any quoted repair cost.0 -
