DD had 1 for ages & was prescribed vicious stuff by gp after few months of this we went back saw another Dr who told us to buy some duct tape & cover the verruca with a patch of that, you may need to stick it on with plasters or other tape but it did work. (google duct tape-verrucas so you can see I'm not crazy).
Disclaimer I'm not telling you to do this , it is not medical advice;)

I originally searched for verruca on here and nothing came up but when I did the verruca duct tape search in google I found this massive thread on MSE.

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/968939

Some also recommend clear nail varnish and vinegar as they all starve the verruca from oxygen, in other search results I read that podiatrists and other health professionals recommend this treatment too :j

Up your immune system and keep better then clean.

Verrucas are a sort of virus which affects your skin. Eventually they die off but it can take some time, whilst there are quite a few aggresive treatments on the market (verrucca gels at around £5 a tube, ice-cold-sprays at around £15 a pot and medical treatments which are available via your GP, as well as natural treatments such as suffocation via the duct tape and various herbalist or homeopathic ointments) but at the end of the day, if your body is not able to fight the virus the verrucca will just move to other areas or take a lot longer to die off.

Make sure you eat a balanced diet- it may mean that if your on a diet or trying to lose weight in a very hard-core way; eg fasting or a protein only diet/cutting out fresh fruit for example, your immune system is going to be pushed to the limit and may opt to shut down where it comes to more minor issues such as skin issues because your body will be slowing down and cutting all energy expenditure, focusing more on keeping your heart ticking and blood flowing rather then anything that isn't life straight-forward threateneing.

If you look at most fresh fruit and vegetables, they hold a great deal of important vitamins and minerals but also eating enough healthy oils is just as important because some vitamins require fats to be metabolised. Its wise to have a varied diet rather then just to stick at a handful of foods so try to get a range of things in rather then adhereing to a diet plan.

Lemon oil worked on my son's verruca a few years ago.
  • A treatment which has always worked for me on verucca/wart type things is Banana

Simply tape a slice in contact with the skin using a plaster and leave overnight, change every night. The skin will go wrinkly like in the swimming pool and whiteish... I believe the banana creates an acid which attacks the skin underneath. I never needed to do this for more than a week or so

I´m interested if anyone has a cure for fungal nail infection ... never found anything yet that really worked??

Vick vapour rub or cheap equivalent rubbed daily on nail. Reccomended by podiatrist. :D
