on your figures, i think you'd have to add £4197 back on to your annual salary for BIK, while taking £5579 off for the salary sacrifice, so your adjusted salary would only fall by £1382 overall.
if you want this car anyway, this isn't a bad way to do it. if you were thinking of buying a (lightly) used car, that might work out cheaper than a new salary sacrifice car.
pensions will give you more mileage (sorry) for keeping CB. a personal pension or SIPP in your name can benefit your wife in the event of your untimely demise, and there is no requirement to buy a single-life annuity with it (or any annuity).0
