In that case - if asked by The Boss - I would be politely honest explaining what elements of your manager's behaviour you find unacceptable / inappropriate and which have led you to choose to leave.
Thank you, John but the issues are with The Boss and not my Line Manager, but it would be The Boss who would want to know my reasons for leaving and The Boss who would provide a reference should I ever need one. If I told my Line Manager my reasons for leaving she would report this directly to The Boss. (you wouldn't believe the backstabbing that goes on :eek:)0
