I'm fortunate enough to be in a position where I don't need to work for financial gain and not too far off retiring anyway.

A reference may be required at a future date should I wish to return to work, but thank you for your input, Mababejive.

Thank you, John but the issues are with The Boss and not my Line Manager, but it would be The Boss who would want to know my reasons for leaving and The Boss who would provide a reference should I ever need one. If I told my Line Manager my reasons for leaving she would report this directly to The Boss. (you wouldn't believe the backstabbing that goes on :eek:)
