Multiple email addresses for comps pls help

Hi Guys,

I have 3 different email addresses/ phones. Can i use these for comps such as ITV etc where they only want email/phone numbers. I am concerned that they cuold use my IP address to see multiple entries.

Any ideas...

for itv its the mobile number etc they go by so i would only use 1 email address if i was you

I think a lot of sites will check your IP address, so you do risk being disqualified completely from a competition.

To be honest though I'd only ever use one e-mail address anyway, people are good enough to take their time and post on MSE with these competitions, to create multiple e-mails accounts and give yourself more chances than everyone else doesn't seem like a particularly fair or nice thing to do.

Just giving an honest opinion, please don't bring me down in flames!

I barely have enough time to enter them all with one e mail address let alone 3 lol. Xx

Some comps (ITV ones included) specify a number of entries per telephone number. Otherwise, I think the T&C are what to go by. If they say one entry per person, per household or whatever then you are risking being disqualified if you don't stick to this. And I'm sure you wouldn't want to cheat anyway. Having said that, if the T&C either specify multiple entries/entry methods, then it's simply a personal choice. The tricky part is when the T&C don't say anything about this. For that, I would also say it's a personal choice.

I very rarely use more than one email/phone number or whatever. Occasionally for ITV comps perhaps, but mostly I don't even do that. I spend too much time doing comps as it is, so I don't want to add to that.
