Wedding Photographer July 2013

Hello all,
I'm getting married (eek!), and as I'm not one for a fuss I'm doing it super quick and on a very tight budget!!
I've been looking for photographers, and every one I've found that I like is way over budget. I've found a couple of cheaper ones, but I think the old adage of "you get what you pay for" appears to be true.
So firstly, I was wondering if any of you could recommend a good photographer in London for under £500 (preferably more like £200-300)? We'd only want 2-3 hours and no printed photos.
The other idea I had was to try to find a student/recent graduate who might be interested in building their portfolio, but I have no idea where I'd start looking or how to vouch for the quality. Any of you tried anything similar? Any ideas where to look?
Thanks in advance
Fizz
