Loan Advice with soft search % rate
Hi all
Any advice would be appreciated....
I am thinking of applying for a loan for a car in March for £8000.
Here are my details
Salary £24960, overtime Not included
1 C/C Nationwide limit £2500 balance £550 paying off 01/2/13 spent in all about 2-3000 on the card since september 0% interest for 6 months ends 13/3/2013
no other debt at all
usual rent/bills all paid by D/D on time no late payments
£300.00 O/DRAFT for 12 months now never touched
on Electoral role at this address for since 02/11/11 also at prev for 5 year
Nationwide soft search 13.9%
my own Bank Barclays pre selected for a loan amount UP TO £22500 but apr 18.9%
When i i have paid C/C do you think APR from Nationwide will improve an do you think there is a good chance of being accepted. Also not applied for any credit since 11/09/12 when i was accepted for C/C.

a soft search offer of 13.9% would usually indicate acceptance0

A third of annual salary seems a hell of a lot to spend on a car, the old adage "drive a cheap car but own the best house you can afford" still rings true.0
