They actually wont. Download limits are only bypassed if you have a premium account, otherwise it'll just d/l at normal speed.0

I download from RS at the same speed (on 8meg broadband) whether I download with or without a premium acc :S
Before I bought an account I was able to use the proxy servers to bypass the "Please wait another x mins before downloading again"
I assume that still works?0 -
Tried it and just got stuck in a loop - when I clicked on the free download, it just kept bringing me back to the same page (ie the one where you click either premium or free):mad:0

Ahhhh, I gotcha now, I thought you meant the actual speed restriction due to limited slots. No, that should be passed, since the query is coming from an anomymous source and not a site whos IP it can trace.billabong06 wrote: »Before I bought an account I was able to use the proxy servers to bypass the "Please wait another x mins before downloading again"

I dont think Rapidshare limit the download speed for Free download? I know that Megaupload does though...?0 -
Thats great, ty

Well they don't so much limit the speed as limit the available slots per connection. e.g. when you select a download you'll see 784/1000, which means there are only a certain amount of allocated spots which, obviously, condenses the available bandwidth with more people using it. Premium accounts bypass the restricted slots as far as I know, and therefore give increased speed.billabong06 wrote: »I dont think Rapidshare limit the download speed for Free download? Basically you're right, but in a misguided way if you get me.0
