  • I bought some Emerald salted butter at Nisa yesterday 79p for 250g listed as an introductory price so it probably won't stay that cheap for long.

    The cheapest I got yesterday was 1pound a block from Asda.

    So........ on the freezing tip!

    How long do you defrost before using?

    I usually just take mine out of the freezer the night before.

    Kerrygold 250g 3 for £3 to 22/01/13
    Lye Cross Farm West Country salted butter 250g
    was 1.39 now £1 to 13/01/13
    Weight Watchers half fat butter 200g was 1.29 now £1 to 23/01/13

    Cheapest butter in terms of pack price not per 100g/kg is Gran Bonta traditional Italian butter 125g 93p
  • £1 butter in iceland called meadow churn pure creamery butter don't know what it tastes like yet haven't opened it.

    Good question. I find you can stick a knife in around 2 hours, maybe not all the way through. You can scrape a little off before that, or zap it in the micro.
    Still virtually alcohol free since 4/1/15. (10 Xmas/ New Year/Birthday drinks)
    It takes 3500 calories to lose a pound in weight. Target 13 lbs weight loss. 18.5lbs lost 2nd May - 28 September.

  • Marks and Waitrose also 1.19

    Kerrygold butter is now produced in UK and not Ireland. The past 12 months the quality dropped - it is far too soft and gloopy. No buttery taste. IMO
  • Tesco have Isle of Man Creamery butter on 2 for £2. Think it's usually £1.35 per pack. Very nice it is too. Oddly not on their website though?
