Hello folks,
Help, I'm now at the end of my tether, trying to help my son with his homework for higher computing.
He has to compile a computer system for £2500 which includes, a wireless digital video camera (we have this at £100), video editing software (we also have this £187 for Adobe Premier Pro or Avisynth which is free from sourceforge.net which gives us a bit of money to play with if required as we can swap these round) and now the problem part...........
We need to find two wireless monitors with touch screen capabilities.
We have googled, googled and googled some more and we can't find anything other than the windows Mira, which is exactly what he seems to be looking for, but we can't find a price for one and wondered if any of you guys could help. We need a link and screen shot for it.
http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/mira_preview.asp I can pinch a screen shot from here if needbe, but this gives you an idea of what I'm / he is looking for.
What we have left of the fictitional budget is a bit over £2k so it seems like there is plenty to spare and we'd like a decent sized one if possible i.e. over 15 inch.
All help greatfully received and yes I want to murder my son as it was due in today!!!!!!
Thanks in advance for any help.

Thank you,
It's not quite what we had in mind, but it's an option - do you have any links to pictures of these which we can have a look at.

You guys are stars - I've been looking for hours to get these.
The one here is what we are looking for, but if possible a bigger version as we need two to do a comparison on.

The others are not suitable as they don't appear to be wireless.
Thank you both so much for your help, from both me a stressed (very, but not so now) and my son who wants to kiss you all and squeeze you tight for your speedy replies.0 -
There's also a 10.4" Toughbook wireless display with touchscreen, though I'm not sure about the price, see http://www.toughbook-europe.com/ENG/1742.aspx0

Have found a tough book here
http://www.smoothroad.com/products/toughbook/p51.asp and they ship to the UK - fantastic.
Still looking for a Mira one though. Any luck folks?
Once again thanks and slobbery kisses too now...............0 -
the only thing i would say about the mira is that article is 5yrs old and is a prototype. so viewsonic may have ceased production or ended up calling it something else. maybe the link cledor has provided is it although that has its own cpu etc. and the mira claimed to be an extension of your desktop.0

Agree, Mira was the MS codename for the product, and Viewsonic were first to produce it. See http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,108801-page,1/article.html.
There isn't such a huge demand for such devices and portable media players such as the Archos players seem to have the lion's share of this market.0
