    Thanks to chum for the following information

    "From Monday.......
    From Monday (after third password):

    www.scotsman.com/

    The 10
    dashes = the 10 letters of password.

    So we now have = www.scotsman.com/myraildeal

    Passwords:-
    Saturday's = my
    Sunday's = rail
    Mondays = deal

    In Scotland on Sunday (Scotsman paper) was a half page article with reduced fare info; ie Edinburgh to London (1-way), is £12,50 or 1st class £35 Includes Friday and Sun afternoons. More choice during week. You can travel off-peak between 14 Jan and 15 March 2013 and book 1-week in advance. Note excludes 15-24 Feb.

    You can book EIGHT people per transaction.

    From Monday at 9.00am until midnight on 16 Jan 2013.....

    http://www.eastcoast.co.uk/scotsman

    Just a note from small print in Mondays paper .... Online booking only - the tickets can't be booked on the phone or at train stations.

    No booking fees are charged for major credit, debit or charge cards which are accepted.

    You can travel with offer for one way and if offer not available for return part you can select the best fare available. (apparently the mix and match is to give best price)

    Most seat availability on off-peak. Peak trains are very restricted under the offer and limited availability on Fri and Sun afternoons or when major events are on. I hope this helps before web page is on at 9.00am......

    It says to have a copy of the offer with you but if you are unable to present, you may be liable to pay for a new ticket at face value."

    NB, think this last bit above is very important to note.

    Just to add, from the T&Cs it does say:-
    Please make sure you take your train ticket and seat reservation along with the travel voucher/ correct number of coupons printed in your paper with you on your journey. The train guard will need to see all of these.
    So although you book the tickets o
    n-line, you will need the coupons from the paper/travel voucher as well as the ticket. Otherwise if challenged by a guard you may have to buy another full price ticket.

    Am I interpreting this correctly chum ?

    Hello, thanks for posting link today, as good savings.....

    I've found the promotion very bizarre because you don't need the passwords for the site and they use the words "if" challenged and "may' be liable. You do not need to use the reader prices when booking the different parts of your trip. The list as follows was not in the paper:

    How do I book?
    • All bookings using this offer must be made online using the booking engine on the left-hand side of this page.
    • You must book at least one week in advance of your outward travel date.
    • Seats are subject to availability – we’re expecting the biggest demand at weekends – so please book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
    • All major credit, debit and charge cards are accepted as payment – we don’t charge any booking fees.
    • Once a booking is made no refunds or changes will be allowed.
    • If you require space for a wheelchair or have access requirements, please call our dedicated Assisted Travel Team on 08457 225 225 before you book.
    • To give you a greater choice and more flexibility, tickets are sold as single fares. This allows you to choose the lowest available prices for each stage of your journey. For example, you can select the reader offer fare on the outward journey and, if the return train of your choice is unavailable, you can select the best fares shown.
    Terms and Conditions
    In addition to the National Rail Conditions of Carriage, the following Terms and Conditions apply:

    1. Your ticket(s) are only valid for the date, East Coast train and reserved seat(s) shown on your ticket(s). You must also take with you the appropriate voucher(s) for inspection on the train, without which a ‘Reader Offer’ ticket is not valid and a new ticket must be purchased.
    2. Changes to travel plans are not permitted with this ticket. Please note that if you travel by any other train than the one shown on your ticket & reservation, a new ticket must be purchased.
    3. You may not start, break and resume, or end your journey at any intermediate station except to change to/from East Coast connecting trains where these are shown on your ticket or itinerary.
    4. Your ticket is non-refundable, should you decide not to use it. If the East Coast train on which you are reserved is cancelled or delayed by more than 60 minutes, special arrangements will be made to accommodate you on another train (although a seat cannot be guaranteed), or to refund your ticket provided your journey has not yet commenced.
    5. No Railcard, child or any other discounts can be used in conjunction with this offer. Under 5s travel free if they do not occupy a seat.
    6. Tickets must be booked by using the booking panel on the left of this web page only.
    7. The offer is subject to availability and must be booked at least one week ahead of travel. There will be no availability on some trains.
    8. The offer is in First and Standard Class. If you purchase a Standard Class ticket, no upgrades to First Class will be allowed except at weekends where you can purchase a ‘Weekend First’ supplement on board the East Coast train on which you are booked (subject to availability).
    9. A £5 supplement applies to Weekend First and First Class offer tickets for access to East Coast First Class Lounges.

    (Thanks for now)
