Tax Info from defunct company etc ? Help

Hope someone can help...
I worked for an Agency in 2000 and only have a few payslips from them and not much info at all.....
I dont think they exist anymore but i really want to find out how much i earnt and how much tax i paid while with them ????
How the hell would i go about finding out about this ???
Would a tax office etc have the same info ?
ANy help at all is great....
they were called select staffing ltd and i cant find them locally so am assuming they died or were bought out ...ANY HELP ON HOW TO GO ABOUT getting info for my period of employment with them would be great thanks

Why do you want to know this? I only ask because if you think you may have overpaid tax then you may be oo late to claim. I think you only have six years to claim which means that any period before 5th April 2001 is now out of date.
If you have some payslips which contain the employer's reference number the Revenue may be able to look this up. I can't imagine that they would be obliged to but you might find someone helpful. Why not go in to your local office and have a chat.
Was the agency called Select Staffing Limited? If so then this was dissolved on 8th October 2004. You might try the liquidator -

They may still have some records but, to be honest, it is unlikely they will have kept the old pay records.

Search the dissolved companies. There were a couple of other companies called Select Staff so you might wish to check.If it’s not important to you, don’t consume it0
