i currently owe a gambling company around £1k,and there is a ccj to repay £50 per month.i am self employed, and have had problems being paid.i was 2 months behind ,and then promised to pay this in december.since then,i have had more problems being paid(therefore,as most people would, i took care of my mortgage first),but then to my surprise i had £100 taken out of my account without consent,on a debit card i have used to pay them before.the £100 was towards my mortgage payment,of which i am now short.the question is,is this allowed or breaking the law,and what can i do

It is probable that they have an authority to use your debit card from when your account was originally set up. Most gambling companies do. You can ask them.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. I thought gambling debts were unenforcible.
However, you can tell your bank it was unauthorised and is needed to pay a priority debt - i.e. your mortgage.0
