Higher rate relief on SIPP contributions.

I'm assuming we just need to write a letter to her tax office together with a copy of her SIPP statement and gift aid contributions to reclaim the higher rate tax relief and if so when can we do this as there are no further contributions planned for the financial year?
If the idea is to keep you below the £50k for Child Benefit purposes, I believe SA is needed.0
