Hi there and a happy new year to all,
I am in receipt of a local government pension from a london borough for 16 years now, and just wondering with the uncertainity in most things nowadays and the changes in the LGPS these last few years (different tiers etc for people retired on health grounds) could they ever change the rules for existing pensioners that they would be forced to undergo a medical in order to continie receiving their pension?
Thanks for any info,
John

life has been uncertain for at least 2 million years; current times are very stable and prosperous
parliament is sovereign and can broadly change the law as it sees fit
I would say however, that it's unlikely they would re-assess existing pensioners unless it's was already part of your pension rules.EU tariff on agricultual product 12.2%
some dairy products 42.1% cloths 11.4%

No. Why would they want to? From their point of view somebody in poor health is a "cheaper pensioner" than someone in good health as they are likely to die earlier & thus get less pension0
