Stickers to go on fabric?

I'm having a crafty party for my daughter and thinking of doing fabric bags for them to decorate, then take home, I dont really want tubes of glue around, but want something more than just fabric pens, so was wondering if there are stickers they can use that will stay stuck on? And that are relatively cheap?
Any ideas.
Thanks

How about something like iron on transfers?0

I'd use iron-on transfer paper. You can buy it in A4 sized sheets (even Tesco sells it) which you can then put through your printer with whatever design you like on them. Then you just place the transfer onto the cotton bag, cover with a clean damp towel and press with a hot iron. When cool, peel off the transfer paper and voila!
(It puts the design on as a mirror image of whatn you have printed out, so you may need to reverse the image first if this matters).0 -
I want the kids to be able to do it themselves though and they aren't really old enough to be left with a hot iron.0

Hiya
, at our local kids club we recently did a similar project (even the boys loved their man bags, lol). We got the bags from Baker Ross & they were made of felt. You could just buy the felt & make your own or that could be part of the craft for your kids. The stickers we used were also from B R but they sell very similar in Poundland. They are coloured 'jewels/stones' & you just remove the backing paper & stick on. Some of the kids did a really nice job & had very pretty bags to take home :-)0 -
Thanks, I'm thinking of making simple bags from plain fabirc, hem the top with a big enough gap for a ribbon to thread through, then fold in half and sew the bottom and open side. I've got 30 to do, but shouldn't take too long, I hope.
Did the gems stay on? My dd just had a denim bag kit given her with gems to stick on, but they all fell of, mind you they had glitter glue and I think it was just the wrong glue in the box.0 -
You could use 3D fabric paint which comes in plain colours and pearlised but the only problem is that it takes a while to dry. I used something similar on tee shirts when they developed odd stains and the results were good.
Tulip paints are good- variety of colours & finishes. £1.99 per tube:

If you put a piece if card inside the bag to keep it flat. Then they can just layout the design and then you iron them on. Pre-glued (hot fix) gems, crystals and nailheads come in all shapes, sizes and colours and are cheap to buy on eBay
Just remember to remove the card straight after ironing, whilst the glue is still hot, as it goes through the fabric and sticks to the card too
I've done this lots of times at parties, usually with cheap tshirts. 3d puff paint that you iron also looks good0
