Overpayment on abbey mortgage

Our tracker has recently run out and having just secured a new contract at work I wanted to start overpaying on the mortgage!
The website states that you have to pay a minimum of £500 per time or face early repayment charges is this true even when you are paying SVR.
Appreciate any help

You will need to read the details of the mortgage offer / KFI document which were given to you when you took out the mortgage.
However, usually, ERCs only apply during the fixed term period.0 -
I'm with Santander (themselves, not an ex-Abbey mortgage) and am looking at doing the same.
Going to ring them tomorrow to check the minimum £500 payment thing, but my T&C's say that if you are on SVR there is no ERC.
