For competitions that require you to follow on fb and twitter...then send in an answer - the current Ryanair one is a good example- how do they know you have done both if your twitter name is not you real name? I don't like to use my real name for the twitter ones as it is not as privacy controlled as fb.

Some of them are so poorly run, by small companies, that although they ask you to do it, I would not be surprised if they did not even check.0
