Using a pepper mill to grind coffee beans

Just wondering if this would work
Looking to load an amount of coffee beans in to the mill but only grind enough per requirements, in the hope that the mill is airtight so the beans would last longer

For use mainly with these

I don't think it would work, pepper grind is a different coarseness than you need for coffee generally, plus you would have to fill it really frequently (I use 2 tablespoons of ground coffee per cup that I make). I have one of these that I use for spices (I just buy ready ground espresso coffee), and I reckon it would be a better idea. Keep the unground beans in the fridge or freezer to keep them longer....0
