Has anyone ever been able to use these sorts of vouchers you print off and present in store?

I recently got one from B&Q but they refused to accept it in store as I had printed it at home and the cashier accused me of making it up as they knew nothing about such vouchers being issued. I spoke to their customer services department who confirmed it was a genuine voucher and it could be used in their store but the store were not having any of it.

Feel a bit of a fool when you get accused of fraud in front of a long queue of customers so I'm a bit reluctant to try again.
