But they do freeze to make nice lollies. Take out of skin, cut in half, stick a stick in one end, and wrap in cling-film. Bung in freezer.
Really?I'd never have thought of that!Wonder what they'd be like with the end dipped in chocolate and sprinkles...mmmm!If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -
The blacker the bananas the better.
Fry them in butter, add sugar & a tiny pich of salt . Cook until the sauce is toffee like. Serve with sinlge cream (good hot or cold.) This is a very naughty treat....If you don't ask, you don't get!0 -

They make an excellent base for smoothies, if you have a decent blender
a banana, a scoop of ice cream/ frozen yogurt (which you can probably substitute for a pot of yogurt) a cup of ice and a handful of fruit of your choice. If you chuck in some muesli, it makes a yummy, filling breakfast too.

Another one from my mums brazlian friend (Ayrton Senna's widow)
Toast a slice of nice bread (granary is good), spread with runny honey, spread mashed banana, spread whipped cream and sprinkle with ground cinnamon. This is very yummy but unlike the other recipe does have to be planned in advance (unless you are Nigella Lawson and have wipped cream just waiting in your fridge for you late at night snack attack!)If you don't ask, you don't get!0
