Best place to sell collectible plates

I've managed to acquire a number of collectible plates (all from the same set and most with the certificate of authentication).
Inspired by the threads on here about up-ing income and decluttering, I've decided to kill two birds with one stone and try to sell them on. Just wondered whether anyone had any thoughts on the best place to list them - obviously E-bay is an option, but can anyone recommend any other / better websites (perhaps based on previous experience?)
Thanks in advance!

It depends on the make but they may well be worth just taking as a job lot to a bricks and mortar auction house.
If they are something like Franklin mint, or the sort of plate you buy one a month from the back of a glossy magazine then individually they won't be worth much at all but may be worth a few pounds as a set.
Obviously have a look at completed listings on ebay, but only sell on eBay if you can be sure you can sock a set of plates securely enough to withstand being under around a warehouse by the courier.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Incidentally, whilst the usual Franklin mint plates are worth a pound or so a go, if you have the ships series it appears to be selling quite well, go,look at competed listings!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
