Sorry mods for posting this on the board but I had saved the original thread in favourites so I could come back and see what Bluebag thought of the roast but the link isn't working so I guess it has been merged.
So, Bluebag, how was the 3 bird roast?

We had one from Lidl and enjoyed it. It does have quite a lot of stuffing inbetween the layers. If you were expecting solid meat in each slice, you could be disappointed.0

If it was the iceland one I'm sure it was lovely, even DH loved ours and he usually moans about roast dinners!
I did spot a 4 bird roast in Aldi for the same price (the extra bird was goose) so felt a bit hard done by though

Hi, thanks so much for asking. In the end we didn't have it as I had less people to dinner than expected ( dd's out on the lash !)
So, I've still yet to experience it, at this rate the darned thing will end up on my 'bucket' list!0 -

That made me laugh.
It's a shame people are saying it wasn't so great this year... I wonder if they have changed the recipe as I didn't think there was loads of stuffing last year... Would be a great shame if they have.Putting these winter preps here so I don't forget!

We had a 3 bird roast from sainsburys, last year it was very good but this year was a disappointment (the duck was very strong) so won't bother again, back to chicken next year!:DSPC Nbr.... 1484....£800 Saved £946 in 2013)

This seems to be getting a bit of a theme, things smaller, price gone up or the quality has changed or worse in the case of some 'value ' items, not available at all.
I've noticed quite a few things not of the same quality, we have always had ICelandD turkey breast roast at christmas but this year it tasted a bit strong. I always have M+$ pork and chestnut stuffing too, and the size is at least a third smaller than before.
Guess just a sign of the times, still all us OS'ers will find a way to still put a good Christmas spread on. Just hope we don't all have to raise Turkeys in the back yard !!0
