I have noticed that when I upload a CD which includes tracks by different artists, iTunes seems to treat them as entirely separate tracks and not as an album. So when i view my albums list on the iPod, the tracks have separate entries. I would prefer them to be together.
Would that be any different if i had bought the whole album from iTunes? I do buy some albums online but (up to now) most have been uploaded from CD's.

I had the new Jools CD for xmas so put it onto iTunes and the same happened to me.
Each track was by Jools & a different name
What I did was to rename each artist to just Jools and it all sorted itself out then.
I tried right click, but that didn't work, so ... a sort of slow double click brought up the highlighting that I could then rename.0 -
Edit Info, and check 'Part of a Compilation', as I recall....0

Exactly the same as mine. It has Bocelli opera tracks with other artists. You did the above on itunes after uploading the CD?0 -
This refers to Info on iTunes?
Yes, right-click on the tracks concerned, and from the pop-up menu, choose 'Get Info'.
