toothpaste or denture cream and a toothbrush, scrubbing hard where the denture fits against gum and tooth. Then ,as it is important you do not wear your denture at night, if the denture has no metal components or soft linings soak in COLD water and miltons (hot water and miltons/steradent etc will bleach the denture). If metal or soft linings in denture just soak in water overnight.

If you have an elderly relative buy them an ultrasonic denture cleaning bath it will keep dentures much more hygienic.

lastly if you have a dog soak the dentures somewhere it can't reach them as dogs love to eat dentures.

For valplast/flexidentures only use cleaning solutions/machines and instructions about water temperature supplied with denture.

Another tip - when cleaning dentures, always do it over the sink, with the plug in, and water in the sink.

Then if/when you drop the denture, it splashes down harmlessly, and doesn't clatter into the sink and break!
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.
