Postal competitions

Hi all!

I was just wondering if anyone has much luck with postal competitions, ie is it worth paying for stamps and postcards each month to enter them or is it just best to enter online comps?

Thanks :-)

i have cut down on postal comps since the price of stamps went up, i dont enter that many but have had no luck. i usually enter the channel 4 ones that go to po box 7557 in derby as they are good prizes but have not won any!! texts to enter these comps cost about 1.50 to 2.00 so a stamp is cheaper but i do wonder if people who text have better luck as it giving the competition organisers some income from the text.
    Just about to give up!

Either details are logged onto a database and some number generator like random.org is used, or maybe each p'card is put into a massive Mad Hatter style hat and one is chosen by a blindfolded person wielding one of those mechanical litter picking sticks (would so love it if it was!)

Gotta love the stamp rage... 1st Class still around the same price as a single Mars bar you know! I've had a good few wins from postals thru the apparent boycotting and the return has much exceeded the outlay so I for one am happy :)
Golly, I've got the newt pregnant...

I haven't entered a postal competition for years. I am considering entering the Channel 5 one I have seen that followed Big Brother as it's for 20k but I haven't really seen any others.
My new year's comping resolution is to spend more time entering the 'Effort competitions' properly!

Thank you everyone who posts comps and participates in the Forums :T
