Studying Abroad

Hi

Next year I will be studying in Eygpt for a year for my University course. I was hoping for some advice on what would be the best bank account to use; should I have one here or open an account in Eygpt?
My dad sends me an allowance every month, so would like to find out what is the cheapest way to send money abroad.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    hi there

you can open an account with hsbc & with barclays, both of which have branches in egypt

you could also open an account with an egyptian bank if you have time to do all of longwinded administrative requirements, there's alot of red tape in egypt which i'm sure you will find out soon :)

    good luck!
nothing to see here, move along...
