Need some advice with a new lease purchase
Options
Hi
We have just bought a new holiday home (stactic carvan as they used to be known). Having done all the paperwork and sign the lease purchase agreement the guy told us the van could take upto eight-ten weeks to be built. On our way home i suddenly thought that this means i will have to make probably a couple of repayments before i get the van. I have spoke to both barclays and the dealer who say nothing can be done. I can not understand how the dealership is allowed to do this, and surely the item has to be in existance before barclays would loan against it?
anyone got any thoughts
cheers

Barclays are loaning you the money the caravan is slightly irrelevant.
Your only other option was to cancel the lease agreement and put down an agreeable deposit with you taking out a suitable amount by way of personal loan, when the caravan is ready to delivered.0 -
Thanks for your reply i originaly thought that the caravan was slightly irrelevant but in the terms and conditions it states from day one we will lease the goods to you. To which they are not as i do not have the goods. I thought it might be slightly different as it was a lease0
