Do you have any 7 inch pyrex caserole dishes? The deeper the better. Use that and make it a little bigger to take up any extra room. It should work.0

Most bowls of the same size/volume will work fine. What ingredients do you have? If you let us know, then perhaps someone will be able to provide a recipe for you.0 -

I may be wring but I *think* she meant she is excited as the recipe she has found is one that she actually has the ingredients for, rather than asking people to provide her with a recipe for the ingredients she has not told us she has
As for the pudding basin problem....if you don't have any type of glass/Pyrex that would be suitable, how about cooking the recipe in the oven? My mum does something very similar to this, kind of like a roly poly. Roll the pastry out flat, prepare the filling and then spread it of the pastry and roll it up. Put it on a tray lined with grease proof paper and cook it in the oven. YUM my mouth is watering now! Would have a slightly different texture to if you steamed it, but it is still yummy, and less faff than steaming too!0 -

What about a terracotta plant pot of the right size? (Obviously well lined, just in case of seepage!)0

Bacon and onion roll baked in the oven is lush, but the loaf tin should work so long as it fits in whatever you are going to steam it inPlease forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0
