hello all ........
I currently work in an advice centre as debt/welfare rights adviser, now i used to really enjoy my job but lately due to problems with management commitee chopping and changing proceedures with very little communication i have become very demoralised and feel deflated and fed up.
I have been looking for other jobs and had an interview about a month ago but was not successful, i have an application form in front of me as i type and have today called a well known internet bank about their vacancies ( for this i did a pre screen test over the phone and have now been invited for further testing)...
My problem is that there are huge changes in the pipe line for Nottingham advice agencies, meaning all the small ones ( like us) will be managed by the bigger ones ( CAB for instance but we don't know who it will be yet)
So, my dilema........... do i go gung ho and get another job just because the management committee p**sed me off or do i hang on and wait for the transfer (should be 2008 according to the draft paper we have seen)
I have just been given my "own" project at work which i can build up and get extra funding for if i want ( funding comes in on June 1st) and have been offered an extra 10 hours per week.
I really really don't know what to do, what would you do in this situation
p.s i'm sorry if this doesn't make sense but it made me feel better to write it down

I don't think anyone can really answer this for you, but as you say writing it all down might help.
I work for a small charity, and I know what you mean when you say that sometimes the lack of communication can be demoralising.
In your position, I would make a list of pros and cons, short and long term hopes and expectations. If you feel you can hold on for long enough to see how the project works out, and you think you would enjoy it, then that's a reason to stay at least a while.
But if you feel that another year, at least, of uncertainty will wear you down even with the 'bonus' of a new project, then get out now! Because you have to be aware that things might get a whole lot worse before they get better, and under a larger organisation, they could either be a lot worse or a lot better!Signature removed for peace of mind0
