Waitrose Christmas stuff cards, crackers, gifts and chocs 75% off

Just been in local Waitrose (Reading area) and all their Christmas merchandise has been discounted by 75%. Some fab bargains including cards, crackers, gifts and chocs dated through to next year.

I wonder if this is national.
My local was reducing everything to 50% yesterday - would be strange if they dropped them to 75% the very next day - but I can always hope!

Still remember the other year, in the week between Christmas and New Year, all there gifts were 70% off and BOGOF!

They have all been reduced - in the Parkstone store they were marking them all down last night. Some things have gone to 75% off (50% off and then half of that) and some to 62.5% off (25% off and then half of that).

I managed to get a Carluccio's set (book and pasta) for £3.75 and a Duchy's cheeseboard set for £5.

All their wrapping is 75% off too so their rolls of wrapping paper are 88p.

In Bath nets of chocolate santas/reindeer down to 25p and in date until April 2014, likewise 350g-ish bag of chocolate tree baubles with large hollow santa (looks like Lindt but isn't) in date until 2014 and down to £1.74.

Some of the stuff in Ely Waitrose is reduced by 75%, including Lindt chocolate teddy tree decorations. I picked up one of those hidden sauce figgy puddings for £3.74 reduced from £14.99. Still had approx 4 of them left a couple of hours ago.

We were in Ely yesterday and got 2 boxes of Cadbury favourite 10 chocolate bars for no more than 73p each and on the side of the box were a free child admission to Cadbury World!

I also went to Ely Waitrose yesterday. Their oranges were reduced to 59p a bag. 98p was taken off at the till if you bought 2 bags, making the oranges 1p each.

Just back from the Bedford branch, after spotting this thread, and they have loads of chocolate with 75% off. Lots of lindt reindeer, teddies and bells with use by March / April 2013. Also Cadbury's tree decs, individual aero trees and quality street hazelnut in caramel bars with similar dates. Also boxes of waitrose own chocs, fudge etc.. with Feb 2013 dates.
On the next shelf were boxes of Thorntons chocolates which said 50% off, down to £3.50 which a SA was moving over so may now be 75% off.
Lots of Heston puddings but only a few other Christmas bits left. Wrapping paper with 75% off is by the tills.
I also picked up 3 bags of clementines reduced to 99p each as I was waiting at the till. Looking at my receipt as I left a 3 for 2 fruit discount of £2.15 was also deducted making the fruit 82p. Bargain, thanks OP.

Hitchin had lots of chocolate at 75% off this afternoon, but I did not see anything else
