recent order - they gave me amazon prime - gauranteed next day delivery - did not show(saturday)...nothing from Amazon communication wise.
Took Monday off...nothing showed (nothing from Amazon communication wise) so I phoned them Mon lunchtime(new years eve)....big apologies....there was a delay from suppliers !!...they then sent me an e-mail in response to my query saying it would hopefully be dispatched wed.....had an e-mail late wed saying dispatched.....so have to take another day off !!
Anyone used the template letter etc. against Amazon ? any success.
what address did you use to send the template letter to ?
thanks in advance

You need to read the Amazon website. You wont get compensated for taking a day off work though so I dont really know what you expect to achieve.
Will I receive compensation if my package misses the Guaranteed Delivery Date?
If your package does not arrive by the guaranteed delivery date, due to errors by us or our Carrier, we will compensate you. Please contact customer service with your order details.0 -

I think the OP is trying to get money for having days off work, which is NEVER going to happen in a million years.0

A million years is a long time in anybody's life.0

Use Amazon all the time. Never had a failed or late delivery.0

I only ever opt for the free delivery because I have never really needed anything from Amazon in a hurry. Sounds like I shouldn't ever bother paying for faster delivery from what has been said above. I doubt they will give you any compensation for taking the day off work, but you may be able to get some sort of voucher or something. Not sure if it would be worth the effort.0

Amazon Prime is available for free to anyone who chooses to use it for a trial period. The most anyone who pays for the service will get is a refund of the delivery charge.malcumms7898 wrote: »Sounds like I shouldn't ever bother paying for faster delivery from what has been said above.0 -
Only had one failed Amazon delivery and that was down to Yodel who lost it somewhere, Amazon replaced within the week. I'm fortunate that there's always someone at home to take delivery, don't you have a neighbour you could use as an alternative delivery address as I can understand how upsetting it must be to have to continually lose a days pay.0

You can actually elect to have an Amazon parcel delivered to a local shop (usually late-opening newsagent etc) using "Collect+".don't you have a neighbour you could use as an alternative delivery address as I can understand how upsetting it must be to have to continually lose a days pay.0
