Hello lovely MSErs, I would greatly appreciate a little advice in my wedding planning stage. I hope I have posted in the right section.

For some INSANE reason (love, I guess... bleugh! ) I decided to plan a wedding in the same year that I'm completing my PGCE teacher training year... and I'm struggling! I'm finding the course really very tough and most of all time-consuming and exhausting, so wedding planning has taken a bit of a back seat. My fiancee is a teacher too so we're getting married at the end of July '13 and flying to Orlando for a week (short, I know, but we're funding the wedding and disneymoon ourselves) two days after the wedding. I wondered if I posted my done and to-do lists here some previous brides or current planners might let me know if I've forgotten any obvious tasks or give a bit of advice on keeping my head together!?

Thank you in advance!

Wedding (not traditional- very low key, at a 1940s steam train station!)

Done
Venue/Flowers booked and deposit paid
Registrar booked and deposit paid
Photographer booked and deposit paid
Invites sent
Bought my dress
Bought 3 out of 5 bridesmaids dresses

To Do
Give notice to local registrar (booked and money set aside, just got to attend!)
Pay full balance venue/flowers
Pay full balance registrar
Pay full balance photographer
Buy wedding bands
Place order for wedding favours
Buy last 2 bridesmaids dresses
Send hairdresser photos of hair (it's my auntie so I didn't have to 'book' her!)
Send venue photos of flower ideas as they provide the flowers (bargain, woo!)

We're not having a hotel, evening reception, make-up artist, band or speeches, and my MIL is taking care of the men's suits. My SIL is taking care of a wedding car as our present too. Have I forgotten anything seriously important!? My head is spinning, aagh!

All of the money to pay off the final balances for both wedding and Disneymoon is already set aside. Thanks for reading all of my waffle and any advice really is greatly appreciated. Thank you girls (and boys I suppose, not all men are as uninterested in the planning side as mine is)!

groom suit. flights you mentioned marrying abroad so visas and ESTAs for the Us only go through approved sites, any legal documents who are your witnesses, music, photos any decorations you want, vows are you writting your own or going with standard vows, do you need to attend church their to give bans, readings if you want them if so who's doing them I would email the registar/vicar/person conducting the ceremony and ask if you left anything out in particular paperwork. I don't know but do you require a blood test I know in some parts of the US and in mexico you do. How long do do each bit of paperwork take allow extra time just in case and photocopy and keep record of everything just in case. when do you need to what ie descide on vows etc also ask if they con give you a rough idea of the time taken to conduct the ceremony this will give you an idea of what time to book other services that you may want. also with the flight check to make sure you can take your dress and the groom/partner outfit as hand luggage so it doesn't get lost. if you google wedding to list it might help I found a site call the knot useful for planing. I hope this helps

Does venue include food/refreshments? Do you have menu options to sort?

You seem to be fairly well organised, in fact you're more organised than we are and we get married a month before you.
