I need to walk the dog!

I do not have a dog! I am however wading around in a big dogs mess! Last year I got fed up of life on a leash, and that resulted in more debt, more weight, a return to smoking and the resultant demotivated me!
I need to feel the fresh air that only a bracing walk can bring, and I hope that the breeze can blow through this diary!
Welcome to my 2013 Diary!

"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Phew, have finally done the start of the year accounts and it was as horrendous as I expected it to be!
Day 3 of no smoking is not going too badly, and I even managed an hours walk earlier to try and shift some of this over weightedness!
I have remembered that I haven't budgeted for DH's birthday and will need to sort that out somehow!
Will try and do the meal planner later also, given how little money there is for January, careful planning of all that is in the fridge will be needed!0 -
Well done on the no smoking think of the money you can use on other things. Meal planning def helps makes me feel better knowing what we will eat. Keep going you are doing great so farJJ #81 1/20 NSD £4.50/£400 food budget (5 people plus doggy). £68/£150 petrol budget.
Debts: Next acc: £487.11. CC1: £2724.68. CC2: £575.79. CC3: £2737.78 (have just applied for 0% card to bt this one)0 -
Another day of no smoking and a little bit of exercise done (an hours walk). Christmas decorations down but not yet in attic, can't find the tape to seal the box! £10 of essential shopping done, cat food, cat litter, bread, milk etc. got a couple of whoopsie bits of meat so that's some meals for pre payday week.0
-
Have completed 7 days of menus, considering I've only got £15 for food for the week, I should manage it. Although it doesn't look very healthy, the fruit bowl is full, and there is some in date veg around as we'll to bulk meals out. I can always top the fruit and veg up with whoopsie shops if necessary. The lunch bags will be fine too ... I can make some home made sausage rolls / sarnies / jelly pots / fruit and loads of sweet things around also still including about 30 bags of crisps!!!0

Managed a 10 mile walk today which felt good to be out and about. I have a new goal for the next 10 days which is no crisps, sweets, biscuits, cakes or puddings (other than yogurt). Today was day 1/10 and so far so good apart from the box of chocs sat next to me screeching my name (and thus about to be launched at the non-existent dog). Still no smoking, and this is day 5 if my calculations are correct, actually starting to feel healthier which is about time!!!0
-
Oh well, that didn't work very well, lets make that 0/10 for the no eating rubbish will we! And in the meantime I might as well finish this soddin' box of chocs!!!!0
-
Why do I not have the guts to say no! A fiver for a collection sheet at work for someone I don't really know that well!!! Must be mad!!
On the plus side, just to keep you updated - still no smoking, however, still no not stopping chocolate eating!!!!!0 -
That's another half a box of chocs down, only another blinkin' 3 boxes to go!!! Over budget on the food shopping too by about a fiver. But all for fresh fruit n veg so don't want to tell kids to cut down on that and eat the chocs (to save me the trouble)!!!! Still no fags (but could've quite happily had one earlier .... But over it now!)0
