Nouvelle offer at Tesco

Mr T's have Nouvelle loo rolls on offer at £2.50 for 9 online & £5 for 18 in store at the mo. But packs of 18 just went through the self-scanner at £2.50 at my local Extra-big Mr T's.

Maybe store-specific .. maybe a glitch!

This has been reported on hukd as being only packs msrked 100% free. Were yours standard 18 packs? Or was it 18 for the price of 9?

Just been & got some at my local in lowestoft and stocked up and it is the 100% free packs, so £2.50 for 9 but 100% free is 18 rolls (obviously lol)

I got 72 rolls for a tenner, that's us stocked up for a good while (unless we eat a lot of curries!!!)

thanks just got some, tried scanning with hand held scanner and came up as £5 but shelf price shows 9 + 100% free as £2.50 and on the checkout scanned as £2.50 so dont know why hand scanners came up as £5.00 surely same system

Can confirm that this works - just been to teaco's in A*r and they are stacked at the door, took 1 pack to test then went and got another 3 packs - all stocked up.

Can confirm sadly that this didn't work in the Tesco extra in P**th. No signs saying £2.50 (on either the 9 or 18). All sels said £5 and it scanned at £5 - including the 100% extra flashed ones which were on a large pallet.

*edited* to add that it does say £2.50 online for me when Im logged in but definitely not marked at that price in store and is not scanning at that either. Why who knows?!

These are also on offer at Co-op £2.55 for 9, but buyer beware they are really small rolls and a rip off.

Take a Tesco Toilet roll Average 240 sheets, total area 58.92sq meters. (£3.50 for 9 rolls).

Now take the Nouvelle on offer and not only are they a visible smaller roll but Average 207 sheets, total area 23.9sq meters! (£2.50 - £2.55 for 9 rolls).

So more than twice smaller but more than half the price of a large roll.

Packs marked 18 for the price of 9 scanned at £5 for me and 9 pack scanned as £5. SEl was £5 too.
