Yesterday I got this email from the company providing the prize:
You have been selected by Beauty Bible to receive a free Pure Eye Serum.
One of the winners has just been in touch to ask if they can receive a Revitalise Daily Face Oil or Soothe Daily Face Oil (worth £58) instead. We have agreed and would like to offer this to all the other winners.
Please let me know if you would prefer to receive a 30ml Daily Face Oil instead and if so, which blend you would like.
Obviously (!) I jumped at the opportunity of getting the more expensive product....(eye serum rrp £45)
Today, out of curiosity, I checked the website selling that beauty product I won and saw that the face oil has been reduced to £34.50
WISH I'd checked it out before accepting the alternative prize.
Have emailed them back asking if it's too late to change my mind back to the eye serum but won't hold my breath....It's nice to be important.....but it's more important to be nice

Congratulations on your win!
Can I ask why it is important that you have the bigger RRP item? I would have chosen something that I could have used over the RRP
Thanks to all posters :A0 -
jailbaby, it's my own fault. I saw ££ signs rather than seeing the prize for what it was. I know that compers sometimes use this hobby as a way to earn 'pocket money' via ebay (have done this on occasion myself when I've been a bit skint). I just felt a little misled by the company as there was no real reason for them to mention rrp other than to 'encourage' winners to think about opting for the 'higher value' item.
Valuable lesson learned ...... in future I won't be so greedy...It's nice to be important.....but it's more important to be nice
