I have never heard of a KM701A. Are you sure there is a KM in front - ? Is it a new or used model?
If it is a new model then that one should fit, but if it is an A701 then you need a mincer that starts with A7xx like A720. It is likely that you will need to look at used ones, I don't think the A701 mincers are still in production. You will be able to find loads on ebay though - the old ones are really well made and never seem to wear out!:happylove0 -
Sorry it is a A701A Chef.0

There are a couple of model micers that will fit your A701A - they all will begin with A7xx. Check ebay! Mincers are a great attachment - well worth the money.:happylove0

Please may I revive this thread and ask 2 questions?
1. When I use the shredder (not the high speed one) the veg get jammed in the drum. What am I doing wrong?
2. I remember seeing once an attachment that fits where the blender usually goes. It has a base like the blender but an upside down glass that screws on top. It minces nuts/herbs etc...does anyone know what this is called, I can't seem to find it and would like to buy one.
UPDATE: found it! It's the multi mill.
Question 2b. do you think the multimill top will screw on to my 700 series blender base?
Many thanks!"Finish each day And be done with it.

Complete Kenwood Chef collection is here.
I don't know the answer to your particular question, sorry.0 -
I also have a question! Just got a 701 and am having fun with it. When using the dough hook, does anyone have any idea how long to knead the dough for? I'm worried about over-kneading and breaking the gluten in the flour.0_o0

I've got the 901 and use the instructions for the KM 301 (which, I think, is the modern equivalent). It says to Knead for 45-60 secs at minimum then 3-4 mins at speed 1 until dough is smooth.
Hope that's useful.0 -
I am pretty sure that the multi-mill will fit the A701 blender base - I seem to remember switching the blender jugs around with no problem, and switching the blender base with the multi-mill base....
You could probably get away with just ordering one of the spare multi-mill jars and not buying the whole attachment. Or seeing if you have an old jam jar that will fit your liquidiser base!
I don't have a problem with veg getting jammed in the drum of my shredder/slicer - which ones are getting jammed and with drum are you using?:happylove0 -
Celeriac and carrots.
I was using the shredding drum.
Thanks for the tip about the mill!"Finish each day And be done with it.

I've never had that problem with the veg - I wonder if your slicer is getting a bit dull?
Sorry I don't know what to advise!:happylove0
