Happy New Year to you too, Taka, moneycurious and Jellie. Taka, was it you that took up ice skating??
Well today was my first official Wednesday off, I spent it making soup, (tastes yuk:rotfl:) Sorting out presents that me and OH got for Christmas (some dodgy things in there:o) Packing away Christmas paper and cards, walking the dogs, packed up some DVDs to go back to Ama*on and....well, not a lot else!
I am working tomorrow but only in the morning; I haven't been in since the 22nd Dec. so I have no idea how I am going to drag myself out of bed:eek:
I will be taking my lovely home made soup in for lunch (might as well use works electric to heat it up before I leave:rotfl:)
I also cooked a ham in the slow cooker, so we had that for tea with enough left over for hubbies sandwiches for the next couple of days.

Yep I'm the ice skating addict!
I'm back tomorrow too. I was last at work on the 14th! Friday will be even worse as I skate for 1-1.5hrs before work then do a normal full day at work. _pale_ Chances of me being asleep by lunchtime are high...
I thought it was you, I was asking some one here about you the other day, but could not remember your name!:o
Last I remember you had a really nasty fall, how much weight have you managed to lose?

TPAx
I was made redundant about a year and a half ago, got a new job (with a big pay cut) and got really stressed about the whole thing and put a lot of the weight back on. Since this summer things have got even worse on the food front so I suspect I am pretty much back where I started weight wise. I am too scared to step on the scales. Guess who is back on the weight loss bandwagon in 2013!
I've signed up for MFiT-3, and as my job funding runs out again in the summerI need to keep a beady eye on my finances again... So I am back on MSE a bit more again to keep me on the straight and narrow!
Well done on being so close to MFness! :TMortgage free as of 12/08/20!

Hi Taka, nice to see you again too!
TPA, thanks for asking I'm fine, same house/kids/dh and still a massive mortgage :rotfl:MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Hey TPA you're back, don't know how I missed your diary but have now subscribed.
Glad to hear you and yours are ok, look forward to your posts.
As for the saving while having a low mortgage rate we paid our off and then started saving but in a way I regret that as it stopped us from borrowing back at a low rate (we had an offset mortgage) and that is handy for car purchases in particular.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Been a rather expensive day, car needed its service and MOT, total £271:eek: Looking at the previous MOT, I've only actually done 4,500 miles in the last 12 months, I need to change my insurance mileage as I think it is covered for 12k:rotfl:
I am thoroughly enjoying my new 3 day weeks as are the dogs!!! We re having some lovely long daylight walks:D I'm not really looking forward to my next payslip though.......not quite sure how much I will be earning with my new hours....but not enough that's for sure:p.
Its suddenly gone rather cold here, I get the feeling I'm going to need my welly socks for dog agility class tomorrow:eek:
Hope you are all well and warm!
