I'm looking to buy a waterproof cycling jacket, I've got a 'showerproof' Ronhill one at the moment, but it's about as showerproof as a tea bag
Has anyone got this one?
Any other recommendations?
I only want to spent about £30

That would also be in the showerproof class and probably no better that what you have.
Maybe keep an eye out on http://stores.ebay.co.uk/ParamoRecycled0 -

I thought that as it only says water resistant, but my mate has it and has worn it all winter and never got wet once0 -
Have you ever washed and retreated your Ronhill? It is probably of a similar construction and should work as well.
Wash it in a soap based cleaner (ie. not a laundry detergent) and if that doesn't make it any more waterproof try a water repellent treatment.
You can get a freebie of the latter at http://www.nikwax.co.uk/en-gb/webquiz/index.php0 -
I am thinking of getting their own brand jacket
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/dhb-signal-jacket/
but just was wondering why the mens version has 10% off at the moment, but the ladies, there is 40% off.
Thought I would maybe wait ... to see if there is a change0 -

At that budget look at Decathlon's B'twin Rain Jacket 5.
An autumn review in the London Cyclist mag said it will 'keep moderate downpours at bay' and concluded 'Sure there are more breathable fabrics... but you could easily spend a whole lot more and get a whole lot less.' Pros 'comfort and price' Cons 'not for extremes'. £25 when reviewed.0 -

they'll have a surplus of women's gear that they want to get rid of more than the men's.0
