I got no points at all for searching Dakar Rally or Dead Space 3. Par for the course. I rarely get search wins.
I also need a new laptop but it's a baffling minefield. How many Gb of RAM and HDD do I need for optimum SwaggingChallenge: Make £2024 in 2024

Windows 8 is actually very good IMO, people who say they don't like it probably have never tried it, i agree it's not an improvement over win 7, but coming up from vista, major major improvement.
It's actually a bit, very little bit faster than win 7 to boot up.
I've had 8 on 2 rigs for 5 months now, have used it since the initial beta release, and still hate it.
Coming from Vista, anything would be an improvement, hence why so many people "upgraded" from vista to xp :rotfl:
Personally I prefer linux distro's, but the world is very windows focused, so I have to have a few versions installed on the LAN. In my defence, computers are logical and understandable - it's people that puzzle me0 -

"upgraded" from vista to xp "
I just spit vodka all over my screen
I've had win 8 from early beta and love it now, i wouldn't upgrade from win 7 however, if it's not broke don't fix it.
I would keep it though on new purchase, and would definitely upgrade from vista.
Like it or not things change, windows 9 will be out soon...... and we all have to move on with the times.0 -

Yeah, but looking at major MS releases:
3/3.1 - good
95 - crap
98 - good
Me - crap (though 2k was awsome)
XP - good
Vista - crap
7 - good
See a pattern? I'll wait for 9 with baited breath0 -

I finished this, was all excited as looked like it was taking me back to Swagbucks then - BOOM - screen crashed. I took a screen shot and then - get this - it told me I was blacklisted for breaking the confidentiality agreement on not sharing any information about the product they were asking me about  Cue one rather frustrated pregnant lady. Where's that chocolate, grrrrrr!
Update - have hit target thanks to TS on Disney Florida. Phew. Those Ripples were going to get it!************************************************************
