Hi Kerri, there are always plenty of cats in rescue centres who are in need of a loving home. You just have to pay for what it cost them to vaccinate, neuter and chip them, usually around £100 :)
My parents have always had rescue cats, however as I want to have children in the near future I want a specific type of breed which I know to be affectionate. So I want to get two of these and have them spayed/neutered asap so I don't cause additional generations that may end up homeless. I have nothing against rescue cats, but equally the breeders that breed the cats I want don't sell them to just anyone hence the price tag and you can't breed them without permission.

Gosh I sound really odd with that don't I, sorry. Nothing against rescue cats at all. I just want to guarantee temperament.

I did house, then cat, then baby. :D We only had the kitten 6 weeks and I was pregnant...

Been very lazy with SB today, partly due to hitting target early and having a non napping baby earlier.
    this is my plan!

Made target ages ago and been really lazy today, but I've been in bed with some kind of temperature/flu/cold thing :( OH made me take paracetamol earlier to bring down my fever then he went to the shop to get me some choc :D

Ah cross posts, I shall have a look for rescue bengals in that case :) before going to a breeder. I don't agree with people that don't breed them with papers and I definitely won't be breeding ours

Pedigrees ARE available. Start looking now in case you need to put your name down. Sometimes people's circumstances change & they need to rehome really expensive specialist breeds.
We have a rescue doggy & adore her. She gives us so much just from being part of our family. I'd use her piccy as an avvy but we can't get a good pic on account of she is black as coal & shaggy & all her pics just look like a big mad jumble of black hair:rotfl:,when in reality she is a beauty. Well,we think so.

    :T:T:T WELL DONE YOU!
There is a puss out there with your name on it,just watch & see.
A lot of people don't want pure breds in case they have special dietary/vet/meds needs .Which is often the case with pedigree animals. Good luck kez....keep us updated.
