Oily Skin

I have very oily skin too. My current skin regime seems to be working well for me...
In the morning I wash my face with water and tee tree face wash from boots, on alternate days. Then I moisturise with botanics shine away moisturiser. I use MoM as a primer, but only a really small layer. Then No7 matte mousse foundation with a bot of loose powder over the top.
At night I use nivea cleanser for oily skin to take my make up off. I hope that maybe that's helpful to you a little bit.

Hi Sadie,
I have the same problem and I'm vv self conscious about it! I've tried primers, oil-free foundations, washing face with oil, not washing face with soap etc etc. The oil cleansing method works for a day but then I found my skin dried out horribly and I looked very old and lined (I'm 37). It was at that point I appreciated my oily skin in a way because it does make me look more youthful and dewy!
However, I can recommend evening primrose oil 2 x 1000mg per day. AMAZING oiliness reduced considerably yet no dry skin
. Must be something to do with hormones (estrogen?) as when I was pregnant my skin was fab too- oil free but not dry. Try the EPO

Boots Botanics cleansing balm
Oxy Seaweed Facial Wash
Good Things Purifying gel cleanser
Good Things Creamy cleanser
Toner - make my own green tea and a few drops tea tree oil
1 or 2 drops facial oil after you cleanse (currently using Boots Botanics Facial Oil)
Body Shop Vitamin E moisturiser
Liz Earle Skin Repair
Tesco Widsom SP15 day moisturiser
I also wear sun protection during the day - Liz Earle Skin Protection SPF 20 currently than her SPF in the summer
You need a really good night product.
I used Decleor Ylang Ylang skin balm for years and it did help with the oiliness and it an amazing product except for the price point.
Last week after doing a bit of research I am now putting on Champney Deep Cleansing Balm and leaving it on overnight. It has the same effects of Decleor but at half the price.
I hope this helps.0 -
